Professor Enoh Tanjong is a renowned professor of journalism, a communication expert and has hundreds of former students. He was the first Head Of Department of the department of journalism and mass communication in 1993, and initiated three programs offered in the journalism department; BSc in Journalism, MSc in Journalism and PhD in communication.
As required by the texts put in place, the communication professor, journalism trainer, researcher and author officially retired on the 10th of October 2020 at the age of 65, quoting that “I am a happy man. I fulfilled my vision.” He acknowledged the fact that all his services have paid off. In an interview about his career, the professor recounts that his career took him all around the world, then he later returned to his country, Cameroon, to train generations of communication experts in many different fields.
Talking about his way forward after years of hard work in training communicators, journalists and researchers, professor Enoh Tanjong stated that he also does consultancy and things he has not been able to do due to his busy career. Adding to this, the professor talked about his health and how he greatly recovered from ischemic stroke, which he had in April 2019.
